Mallery Lutey, MUSE Class of 2020, secured a paid internship for summer 2019 at Field Museum of Natural History. She will be working in the Anthropological Collections, with an ethnographic collection of Chinese minority group textiles.
Emma Turner-Trujillo, Araceli Medina-Castillo and Mallery Lutey, all class of 2020, have been accepted to present their research at the Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists Conference (ARCS) in Philadelphia, Fall 2019.
MUSE student Elise O'Neil ('20) has accepted a summer 2019 internship at the Chicago History Museum to work with their Decorative and Industrial Arts Collection.
'Formats for Mats' is an Open Mic Night at Gallery 400, organized by Contra Eras Co. and presented in conjunction with 'Alberto Aguilar moves on human scale,.' Each performance responds to the prompt: who will replace me? This event is free and open to all. Calling all writers, musicians, poets, or other performers! Tracy Montes, who will be joining the MUSE Program in Fall 2019, has been selected as one of the Americans for the Arts Inaugural Arts & Culture Leaders of Color (ACLC) Fellows, one of only 12 chosen for this honor. The new ACLC Fellowship is a one-year professional development program for emerging and mid-career arts leaders of color across arts disciplines in the Great Lakes region. Congratulations, Tracy!
