Paige Taul

BIO: b.1996 Berkely, CA

Originally from California, Paige Taul received her B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Cinematography from the University of Virginia and is continuing her career at the University of Illinois at Chicago for Moving Image. As a part of her filmmaking practice she test the limits of identity and self-identification as an African American, through an autoethnographic approach to challenge notions of racial authenticity and is interested in observing environmental connections and concepts tied to racebased expectations and intraracial othering that takes place within the black community.
