Dr. Therese Quinn Receives Outstanding Book Award

Dr. Therese Quinn has been honored with the Society of Professors of Education Outstanding Book Award, 2021, for School: Questions About Museums, Culture, and Justice to Explore in Your Classroom (Teachers College Press, 2020).

Probing the contradiction that museums are exciting spaces of learning and experience, and are also not as engaging as they should be as public institutions, and are not equally welcoming for all groups, Questions About Museums suggests that the tension between these realities is ripe with possibility.

The Society of Professors of Education (SPE) is an organization which since 1902 has provided a forum for addressing the issues facing the discipline and vocation of education.

The awards ceremony will be held on April 10, 2021 at the Annual Meeting of the SPE, which will take place virtually during the annual American Educational Research Association convention. Congratulations, Therese!
