Lawndale Pop-Up Spot Opens Exhibit Honoring Westside Elders

Jonathan Kelley and Chelsea Ridley, graduates of the Museum and Exhibition Studies Program and cofounders of the Lawndale Pop-Up Spot, opened, "Lawndale: A Living History," in September. Featuring larger-than-life photographs, the Pop-Up exhibit was curated by Lawndale photographer Jay Simon. In addition, an intergenerational project team partnered with StoryCorps to produce audio recordings of the older residents featured in the portrait series telling their stories.
