The first weekly colloquium event begins this semester with Notes from the Field, with members of the department sharing brief presentations about recent travel, research, projects, or other topics of interest.
We will hear from Associate Professor of Art History Nina Dubin on the experience of curating an exhibition during a pandemic; Marilynn Thoma Scholar in Art of the Spanish Americas Emmanuel Ortega will present on the incredible YouTube channel he has launched called Unsettling Journeys; and undergraduate Art History major Kimia Taghavy will discuss her experience working on the book launch for Farah Pahlavi’s book Iran Modern.
