Jared Kelley (b. 1988, Atlanta, GA) is a Chicago based interdisciplinary artist creating narrative and experimental physical and digital sculptures, installations, and performances. Frequently audiences are invited to respond and collaborate with his work in directed or improvisational ways. His work is used as a tool for research in how human behavior is learned and changed, placing audiences in real or imagined worlds to simulate ways of being outside of their comfort. Some topics of research include mainstream assimilation after leaving cults and speculations on education, novel technologies, and cultural adaptations related to climate change.
