Jared Christopher Kelley (b. 1988, Atlanta, GA) is a Chicago based interdisciplinary artist creating narrative and experimental physical and digital sculptures, installations, and performances favoring participatory formats. In his work, audiences are invited to respond and collaborate in directed or improvisational ways while their responses are used to inform research in how human behavior is learned, the limits of recollection of distant memory, and how personal experiences can be woven into speculative design and science fiction. Some topics of research include mainstream assimilation after leaving cults, the ethics of transhumanist technologies, and speculations on education and cultural adaptations in emerging media.
