UIC School of Art and Art History is proud to be a Platinum sponsor of the inaugural Illinois Regional High School Art Competition. This exhibition will take place on Sunday, Februrary 23rd, 2014, from 2pm to 6pm at the Zhou B Art Center.
IHSRAE Mission Statement:
By bringing together the diversity of city and suburban high school art students, the exhibition aims to unify the arts through a common goal, a common experience, and a common perspective. Furthermore, it aims to provide a public platform for the range and beauty of student work, to promote an artistic community of peers and professionals, to celebrate the importance of art in education, and ultimately to reinforce the power of art in our students' lives.
The exhibition will be the culminating event to gather and display artwork from the participating high schools in the Chicagoland area. There will be over 300 pieces of carefully selected student artwork spanning the following 5 categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Three Dimensional, and Graphic Design.
