MFA candidate Jessica Cobb is one of 15 selected to represent the Midwest in the North America StartupBus competition.
Cobb and her two collaborators spent three days on a bus traveling and tinkering, hitting tech stops and sponsors' offices. Together, they created I/O Toys—wireless, codeless interactive modules that bring everyday objects to life.
StartupBus North America 2015, StartupBus's 5th annual competition, ran from June 4th to June 8th, with buses from six regions around the continent converging in Nashville for a final competition. Each team, including Cobb's, will present the product they developed during their three-day tour at the Accelerate:Nashville conference. Presentations live-stream today until 5:30 EST.
You can vote for Jessica Cobb's project via the StartupBus Game, an online platform that allows users to cast their ballots for best project by buying pseudo-stock in each Startup Bus team's project (or "company"). Support I/O Toys by visiting game.startupbus.com.
