Nancy Harmon (MA, Museum Studies) presents at a conference

Chicago hosted it's first Beacon Hackathon, which took place in Chicago March 6-8, 2015 at Space by Doejo (444 N Wabash).

Over 150 brilliant local, and national people competed in the event. Based on purpose and value, originality, customer validation, and app completeness, Harmon's project was one of three selected as a winner!  

 

Nancy Harmon's (MA, Museum Studies) entry included a demo, she created with a team of developers, a working app using Gimbal beacons, and presentation of her thesis capstone project: "Don't Bring a Book to a Party: Beacon Use in the Museum Space".
