Starting August 16, Art History Associate Prof. Ömür Harmanşah will be the Director of the UIC School of Art & Art History, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees!
UIC CADA Dean Rebecca Rugg says, “His profound scholarly knowledge working at the intersection of the ancient and contemporary, his appreciation for disciplinary intersection, and his strong management and administration skills honed in archaeological field projects make him a perfect fit for leadership in the School of Art & Art History.
