Professor Julia Fish will include her piece titled, Working Drawing for Floor (1993) in the exhibition Apparitions : Frottages and Rubbings from 1860 to Now. The Menil Collection, Houston, Texas.
“Apparitions is the first museum exhibition to present an in-depth and comprehensive survey of a versatile technique that is both deeply rooted in art history and intrinsically current. The exhibition (…) organized into four loosely chronological and thematic groupings: Frottage and Surrealism, Traces, Phantoms, and Memory and Mortality (…) demonstrates the multifaceted ways in which artists have (…)expand(ed) the traditional boundaries of draftsmanship.”
This Exhibition runs September 11, 2015 through January 3, 2016.
