School of Art and Art History
This year, the African-American Cultural Center (AACC) presents a series of arts-based programs that promote community building, healing and self-care. Join them from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM each Tuesday and Thursday through November 17 to make quilt panels that reflect some of the many meanings of the word REMEDY, the 2016-2017 programming theme of the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change. Fabric artist Jim S. Smoote II will be in residence on select days.
These events are free and open to the public.
For more information about the AACC, contact them at aacc.uic.edu or call them at 312-996-9549.
