Ayana Chavis


BS in Anthropology with a Second Major in African American Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University


Ayana Chavis, originally from North Carolina, is a upcoming graduate student in the Art and Art History's MUSE program. Chavis' research interests include African Diasporic art, history and culture, race, gender and ethnic studies. As an Abraham Lincoln Fellowship recipient, her career goals include becoming a museum curator and educator for a history museum specializing in African Diasporic history and cultural arts.
