Kylie Renee Clark
Kylie attended Interlochen Arts Academy for her two final years of high school studying in the Motion Picture Arts program. She later completed her undergraduate degree in Cinematic Arts at the University of Iowa studying under UIC alum, Mike Gibisser.
For nearly ten years, Kylie has been working on her craft. Film has been her passion from a very early age, living in the isolated Midwestern countryside and often finding that her closest friends were those she watched on her VHS tapes. Kylie lovingly explores themes of loneliness, gender and sexual identity, and the pain of growing up. Being of mixed race herself, half Mexican and half White, she also often examines how to understand straddling cultural lines in her work. She is now working on her MFA in Moving Image at the University of Illinois at Chicago
